Knowing that you will be on stage playing for someone more critical than the cat for the first TIME in 70 hours and 7 minutes does inspire better practicing habits. Finger tips are swollen - eyes glazing over - blurry sheet music swimming before my eyes...will take a break and watch American Idol with the girls. I am 75% confident in my ability to play well enough. Come Saturday night, we will see. This is the goal I set for myself some time ago. Learn a few songs. Play on stage in a band. Don't suck.
