"Give a 62 year-old man a 30-year-old Fender Bass (but still brand-new, because he didn't follow-up 30 years ago, because he had plenty of time and would eventually get around to it) let him be grateful for still having some TIME and six months of lessons with some kind of urgency motivation and he will eventually play 'Some Kind of Wonderful' in a pick-up group on a Saturday night in March at a Straw Hat Pizza, somewhere in Northern California, record it, and put it up on YouTube for all the world to see." Ha! Dream on.
My music debut was not exactly a Shakespearean effort, but an still an achievement, not thought possible, just a few months ago. Listening (really listening) to "Live like you were Dying" - Tim McGraw- is a great motivator to complete those little parts of your story, still unwritten.
Last two things on my "It would be cool to say that I was published and was in a band on stage" list...one down and one to go.
April 30, 2011 - we are stepping it up to 3 songs with drums with lead and rhythm guitars. If I keep up this pace, I shall surely top the charts by 2111.
Bob on Bass-Some Kind of Wonderful World Premier
Dedicated to my wife - Lise.
