Sunrise is the instant at which the upper edge of the Sun appears above the horizon. Sunrise & sunset are, from one point of view, optical illusions. Objects appear higher in the sky than they are in reality.
Sunrise reminds us of our ephemeral life. What we decide to do with each precious capsule of time is of our own choosing. Let it not be said at the end of our day that our perceived value on earth was an optical illusion and our worth appeared to be higher than it was in reality.
