SUNRISE - March 19, 2011

March 19,2011 Sunrise 7:11 am
"But soft, what light through yonder window breaks?
It is the east, and Juliet is the sun."

...Shakespeare

Started exchanging email images this a.m. with my sister at Sunrise.  She, in Reno, with a wonder-land snowing landscape...her first snowfall since officially retiring and moving to the 'biggest little city'.

Me; pictures of my neighbor's palm tree swaying in the wind; rain softly falling.

Sunrise, the thread.

SUNRISE - February 22, 2011

February 22, 2011 Sunrise 6:47 am
"Now is the only time. How we relate to it creates the future. In other words, if we're going to be more cheerful in the future, it's because of our aspiration and exertion to be cheerful in the present. What we do accumulates; the future is the result of what we do right now."
- Pema Chödrön

"Dwell not on the past. Use it to illustrate a point, then leave it behind. Nothing really matters except what you do now in this instant of time. From this moment onwards you can be an entirely different person, filled with love and understanding, ready with an outstretched hand, uplifted and positive in every thought and deed." - Eileen Caddy

"Don't let the fear of the time it will take to accomplish something stand in the way of your doing it. The time will pass anyway; we might just as well put that passing time to the best possible use."
-
Earl Nightingale
