"To comprehend a man's life, it is necessary to know not merely what he does but also what he purposely leaves undone. There is a limit to the work that can be got out of a human body or a human brain, and he is a wise man who wastes no energy on pursuits for which he is not fitted; and he is till wiser who, from among the things that he can do well, chooses and resolutely follows the best." - John Hall Gladstone

"The brick walls are there for a reason. The brick walls are not there to keep us out. The brick walls are there to give us a chance to show how badly we want something. Because the brick walls are there to stop the people who don’t want it badly enough. They’re there to stop the other people."    Randy Pausch

"Have you not done tormenting me with your accursed time! It's abominable! When! When! One day, is that not enough for you, one day he went dumb, one day I went blind, one day we'll go deaf, one day we were born, one day we shall die, the same day, the same second, is that not enough for you?"

“If only the people who worry about their liabilities would think about the riches they do possess, they would stop worrying. Would you sell both your eyes for a million dollars ... or your two legs ... or your hands ... or your hearing? Add up what you do have, and you'll find that you won't sell them for all the gold in the world. The best things in life are yours, if you can appreciate yourself.”
~ Dale Carnegie

“Time goes by so fast; people go in and out of your life. You must never miss the opportunity to tell these people how much they mean to you.” - Cheers

There is an article in the June 2010 issue of Scientific American entitled "Is Time an Illusion?"

An excerpt:
"As you read this sentence, you probably think that this moment - right now - is what is happening. The present moment feels special.  It is real.  However much you may remember the past or anticipate the future, you live in the present.

Of course, the moment in which you read the last sentence is no longer happening.  This one is.  In other words, it feels as though time flows, in the sense that the present is constantly updating itself.

There are some physicists that argue that there is no such thing as time.  There is also the idea that time exists, but is not fundamental."

Don't we feel better already?
